(FFIEC) "Account
fraud and identity
theft are frequently
the result of
single-factor (e.g.,
ID/password)
authentication
exploitation." Using
a single factor such
as a password as the
only factor of
authentication
represents the "bare
minimum" when it
comes to protecting
your company assets.
Passwords are under
constant risk of
compromise from
various techniques
such as brute
forcing, spyware,
viruses, key
loggers, dumpster
diving, or though
social engineering.
Requiring a second
factor of
authentication

system security.
System access is

successful

both factors.

primary factors for

individuals to a
